"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all"
Proverbs 31:29
The Bible says that we need to honor our parents. Mothers do so much for us day by day. From the start of each day until the day ends, they are continuously doing things for us. From cooking, washing laundry, buying food, sweeping, making sure that we have toothbrush and soap, from buying us new clothes when we outgrow the other one, mothers do a lot.
How can I honor my parents? Honoring parents is not the same as obeying your parents. For example, if your parents tell you that it’s time to go to sleep, you might obey them by saying “yes, okay” (but you have a big frown and walk to your bedroom like if you have been punished). You were obeying your parents, but you were not honoring them. HONORING your parents means that you will say “YES, I’ll go to bed” with the RIGHT ATTITUDE, meaning that you will smile at them, because you ALREADY KNEW that bed time was coming. You understand that they are wanted for you to go to sleep so you can get a good rest. OUR ATTITUDE is how we honor our parents.
Honor your mother today and always and you will have God’s favor in your life.

Thank you Jesus for my mom. I am so blessed to have a wonderful mom like her. Please help her every day so she can be more and more like the woman in Proverbs 31. May she be gentle, kind, wise, strong in faith, and keep our home so loving like it is. Please give her health and help me be obedient and honor her. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
